PresidentsAward

Founded in 1983, the President's Education Awards Program (PEAP) honors graduating elementary, middle, and high school students for their achievement and hard work. The program has provided individual recognition from the President and the U.S. Secretary of Education to those students whose outstanding efforts have enabled them to meet challenging standards of excellence. Each year, thousands of high schools participate by recognizing deserving students.  This award showcases academic success and each school district selects the specific criteria for eligibility.  In PSD202, to be eligible for the President's Award for Academic Excellence, a senior must have earned a 4.5 or higher GPA (out of a 5.0 scale) over 7 semesters of high school AND a 1280 or higher SAT score (on the April 2024 school test date).  These students were given their certificates at diploma pickup (after graduation).
