What You'll Discover

Suicide is the second leading cause of death for people ages 10-34 years old. From elementary through high school and beyond it is more important than ever to understand and identify the signs of suicide and intervene effectively.

This presentation will include:

  • Risk factors and warning signs for suicide
  • Strategies on what to say
  • Common myths about suicide
  • Where to get help

Presentations available in English and Spanish.

  • Pre-registration is NOT required - walk-ins are welcome!
  • Spanish translation will be available.
  • Childcare will NOT be available.
  • CEUs/CPDUs will be available to professionals who stay for the entire presentation.
  • Masks are required for ALL participants, regardless of vaccination status, while inside PSD202 buildings.


About Our Presenter

Jennifer Trivelli has been with Linden Oaks Behavioral Health for 13 years and has over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, having worked in community mental health, group homes, therapeutic day school, and domestic violence agency and shelter.

Jennifer has developed curriculum for suicide prevention in adolescent inpatient settings and helped develop and present the "Road to Zero Suicides" initiative to community members in Naperville. In 2020, Jennifer attended and participated in a training from the Zero Suicide Institute, which focused on helping health and behavioral health organizations reduce suicide among those they serve.
